Fête des Vignerons | Whisky Samba
What a great evening last night where we were introduced to Fête des Vignerons at Whisky Samba by Swiss International over great food and wine pairings. The Fête des Vignerons pays homage to viticultural (or wine growing) traditions many centuries old and happens once every 20 YEARS! That’s right – 20 years. Which is why I thought I must atleast blog about it. Nobody knows where you or I will be 20 years from now but incase my blog is still around (I should hope it is), someone may just chance upon it to read about the little celebration we had around the Fête in 2019 in Gurgaon 😉
This year it is taking place from 18th July to 11th August and is also recognized by UNESCO on its list of intangible cultural heritage. The Fête takes places in Vevey, the town situated at the heart of the viticultural region Lavaux, in the canton of Vaud, in Switzerland and is the first living Swiss tradition to have been recognised by UNESCO. We even had a little contest going where 1 lucky couple got to win business class tickets to go and experience the Fête. It was Lakshmi Rana!
Hope you enjoy the pics from last night. All my outfit details are at the end of the blog post.
