Bengali Lunch with Pranay Baidya at ROOH
This past Sunday I was invited by designer Pranay Baidya over for a special lunch to celebrate the Bengali New Year at the newly opened ROOH in Mehrauli. The authentic Bengali menu had been curated by Pranay himself and executed by Chef Priyam Chatterjee of ROOH. It was a beautiful Sunday with so many beautiful people around, refreshing summer cocktails and brilliant food. I’ll admit I had never actually eaten Bengali food before and I was a bit curious to see what comes my way – turns out I frikkin love it! They had some beautiful complex dishes as well as seemingly simple ones like the ‘Khichri’ made in desi ghee – it was sent from the heavens itself. Sharing a pic of the menu as well so that you get an idea of the fabulous Sunday lunch we had. Hope you enjoy the pics from that day!
I wore a stunning chanderi silk kurta and earrings both creations by Pranay himself. The kurta was actually a menswear kurta but I just cannot get enough of his menswear kurtas to be honest. And I do enjoy kurtas simply because they are so comfy and chic. Sharing the direct link to shop the kurta I wore at the end of the blog post.
