The Perfect NYE Outfit

I’m all about the sequins. So it’s natural for me to lose my shit when the holiday season hits every year. There are sequins EVERYWHERE. I don’t party much but the clothes I tend to lean towards tell a completely different story. If it was up to them, they’d say I’m the party girl of the year. So I decided to share my idea of the perfect New Year’s Eve Outfit with you. AAAND…you guessed it…it has sequins.

The dress I’m wearing is actually an old one but it can literally be put on, even before someone says ‘party’. I was also excited to learn that the ‘Luxe Bridge’ store in Ambience Mall now stocks Marc Jacobs accessories – that includes bags for now and sunglasses soon too. I went ahead and picked out a Marc Jacobs bag that, if you look at the pics of my outfit, looks like it was made just for the dress that I’m wearing. They both look so good together!

I did this quick shoot when I went over to Prateeq’s place yesterday to catch up over some wine and Netflix. The ‘some’ wine turned into 2 bottles of wine (full disclosure – there were more people drinking) and we went on to play some game called ‘Psych’ on our smartphones like complete millennials. It was fun though.

I stopped making New Year Resolutions many years back because you can do that any day of the year. But I do, always, make a little list where I write down the things I will have in the next year – as a mental declaration to myself (so that I subconsciously work towards it). And I think it’s important to focus on the things you will want to have, not the things that you want to avoid – give weightage to the positives, not the negatives. It’s a mental image of where I’d like to be in the New Year and it more or less works for me, I obviously don’t go around writing ‘Aston Martins’ in my list because that shit holds no importance to me – UBER is just fine thank you! 🙂
What would you put in your list? I’d love to know!

I’m going to be home with Mom, Dad & Naina for New Year’s Eve playing Ludo, eating more than required, bingeing on sugar, wine and also breaking open this new card game I bought recently – Exploding Kittens. Have you heard of it? It’s supposed to be really popular apparently.

Anyway! I hope each and every one of you has a lovely New Year and enters 2018 with fresh minds, bodies and souls. Always take out time for yourself, work will always be there to get back to, spend time with family because nobody knows how much more time you have with them. Hold your loved ones tight, tell them you love them and smile.
Happy New Year Everyone!
