Checks & Stripes

I carried this outfit with me for my recent trip to Mussoorie with Naina. We stayed at the JW Marriott Mussoorie and were blessed with beautiful sunny days through most of our stay. I think this is the first time I have worn an outfit pairing checks and stripes together. I wasn’t entirely sure of whether it would look alright but decided to go for it anyway. After I tried them on I definitely thought that it worked really well together so I decided to stick with it.

Even though I’m more of a beach girl, I never say no to a trip to the hills because I love them too! The crisp sunlight, blue skies and the fragrance of forest and pine drifting everywhere causes instant de-stressing. It is shameful how horribly crowded “hill-stations” in India are now unfortunately. With horse-shit everywhere on the roads and people pissing right beside it on street-sides. Which is why main towns are always avoided. And there are still some beautiful, secluded areas around if you make the effort of looking for them.

As I type this text, I’m simultaneously making mental lists of what all remains to be packed for my upcoming trip. I’m super excited because it’s a long one this time. 50 days. I start off with an official trip with Indonesian Tourism for 10 days. After that I head to London for another 10 days that also includes 3 days in Edinburgh. And finally I fly to San Francisco where I spend 30 days in California (10 in SF followed by road trip via a few national forests to La. 4-5 days in LA and then fly back to India)
