Sorrento | Shangri-La’s – Eros Hotel
I recently visited the restaurant Sorrento at Shangri-La’s Eros Hotel in New Delhi to experience their new healthy Italian ‘Au Naturel’ menu which was exceptionally refreshing and light. Specially curated by Executive Chef Neeraj Tyagi, who is under training by Michelin Star Chef Florent Boivin from the institute of Paul Bocuse in Lyon, this menu features options that will delight your palate and keep you feeling light and healthy.
Straying from the typical healthy salads and stir-fried dishes, the menu has been infused with a touch of decadence, which is evident in gourmet dishes such as the Atlantic crab salad, poached lobster, summer vegetable salad and potato ravioli, as well as others. It was a beautiful lunch with perfect Delhi weather for a change. Wanted to share a few pics from the afternoon with you so here goes.
Starting off with some Prosecco
Crudo di pesce yellow tail, tuna and salmon
Poached lobster, grilled white asparagus, green peas, fresh green seaweed and lobster bisque foam
Pan seared Chilean sea bass, smoked eggplant puree, pickled eggplant, quinoa pilaf and light lemon jus.
Chef Neeraj Tyagi introducing us to the menu
Potato ravioli with shiitake mushroom, potato consomme and white truffle essence.
Seared lamb loin with gratin potatoes, baby leeks, natural jus and rosemary essence.
Dessert was strawberry sorbet, olive oil cake, flax seed tuile, oat streusel.
