Trend Lusting – Silk Robes

I’m not one to usually follow trends but sometimes I cave when I see things like this spread all across my Pinterest feed. How can someone not like this trend. I don’t like the word ‘trend’ very much because personally I literally just go for outfits that make me feel good, are comfortable and have the power to make me stand out in a crowd (after my height of course). And this ‘trend’ of silk robes (which is pretty much a wildfire in Europe right now) has me lusting hard after it, not because it’s a trend but because I know I’ll make it look so damned fine! Wonder when I’ll get to see it creeping into India. I couldn’t help but pick out a few of my favorite picks from Pinterest and day dreaming about them this fine Friday. I did go for yoga yesterday but it looks like I’m gonna have to wait a bit more because my neck is still not all the way better, as I thought it was and I’ve got time to kill.

There are numerous ways in which I would wear a silk robe – most of them are shown below and so basic to put together:
Jeans + tee + robe
Shorts + robe buttoned up front
Flouncy skirt + robe
Slinky night camisole + jeans + robe
Heck even a dress + robe

I think I’ve listed pretty much all combinations out there because that’s just how versatile this fabulous piece of clothing will look. Oooh/ Want me some exquisite embroidered silk robes now. Happy weekend loves!
