Masaba x FabAlley

It’s always exciting to see brands collaborating with designers and coming up with fresh new collections that have never been thought of before. For me the most fascinating bit is the anticipation just before it launches – you know its going to be nothing you’ve seen before by the designer or the brand and it’s interesting to observe how the two come together. I’m particularly stoked about the Masaba x FabAlley collection that will ofcourse be exclusive to FabAlley and you can see that it clearly has Masaba’s soul in it. A great way to have access to owning a Masaba and her world of quirky/fun/bold prints – or in this case, ‘The Misprint’ – that’s the name of the collection.

You can discover the entire collection and shop it here.

I got the opportunity to wear my favorite pieces from the collection and that’s the look I’m sharing with you today. I instantly fell in love with the maxi wrap dress (for some strange reason you don’t find this silhouette at many places and it is such a flattering piece of clothing for so many body types, it should literally be a staple in all wardrobes). So, I was sold when I saw this cross n knots printed wrap-maxi-dress. It’s made out of a lovely soft knit fabric that sticks to the right curves and falls off so effortlessly from the others. I decided to play with some layering since the maxi is a sleeveless one and added a flimsy longline shrug to it with a contrasting micro print. To some, they may look like an odd pair but to me they perfectly balance off each other. The delicate and light fabric flies off easily against the heavier fabric of the maxi dress. The maxi dress does have a hook higher up on the neckline for ladies who want to cover up the neckline, but you know me, I’m loving my tanned non-ample bosom post my recent Thai trip and a deep neckline is anyway so damn sexy! Enjoy the pics!
