Lovina Beach – Bali
Another beautiful rustic part of Bali is the northern, much less crowded tip of Bali – Buleleng region which is the home of the Dolphin Beach or the Lovina Beach. A 20 minute drive on the bike from the beach will take you to the hill tops and give you magnificent views of the northern shores of the Bali island. It’s a great place to be, cheaper than most of Bali, great local cuisine and lots of peace and quiet. Not much of a party scene here except the bars and pubs that line the Lovina beach. That’s it. We went for an authentic Airbnb experience here where we were actually staying at someone’s place. It was a great room – clean, fresh linen, airy and had a view of the pool. But the pool was not very well maintained so we only took a dip once – it was only pretty to look at. The host was really cool – he made me Arak cocktails by the pool and the breakfast everyday was another great highlight. Here are lots of pics from Lovina Beach and the Airbnb where we stayed.
One of the roads that lead to the beach.
Details you will find everywhere in Bali.
You can also catch up on some shopping along the beach-face
There are bunch of easy going beach-facing restaurants and pubs where you can cool down with a chilled beer and some great seafood.
That’s the name of the place where we sat down.
The lounge area by the pool where we were served great brekkie everyday.
Having neat Arak by the pool. I preferred having it mixed with something – lemon water and honey. Yum!
Our happy welcome drinks the day we arrived.
Cute pooches of our airbnb host
Our host was super handsome in his younger days! Look at him!
I just cannot get enough of the sunsets that Bali had to offer. This one was at Lovina beach itself. Enjoy!
The same restaurant after sun-down.
Because it’s also called Dolphin Beach they have this statue at the start of the beach or vice versa – I’m not sure.
Hope you enjoyed the post!
