Burj Khalifa – Dubai
A quick photo-diary of our visit to Burj Khalifa, Dubai. It currently holds the title of being the tallest structure in the world at 829.8 m with a total of 163 floors. We went up to the 148th floor at ‘At the Top Sky Lounge’. The entrance is from inside The Dubai Mall where you are whisked away to the Sky waiting area. There were dates and turkish tea waiting for us in the waiting area. From there we proceeded to the elevators which are so fast that you may have to pop your ears to adjust to the quick change in elevation. For heading to ‘AT the Top Sky’ you need to change the elevators once in the middle. Once you reach the 148th floor, the entire floor is yours – you can roam around, spend time at the shop, lounge and enjoy the view, have some yummy macarons and refreshments and even go outside on the outdoor observation deck (you won’t be able to do that for too long because of the heat though!) The view does tend to get hazy during the summer months because of the humidity but it is still quite spectacular. Now on to the pics:

The elevator opens up into the lounge on the 148th floor.
You can walk around the entire floor through these passages.
You can also view the Dubai Fountain. Bottom right is the Dubai Opera getting constructed.
Once you step outside to the outdoor observation deck.
Look up to the top of the building in the blinding sunlight.
