Nusa Dua – Bali
This was towards the very end of our month long Bali trip. I had heard from a lot of people about how amazing Nusa Dua is. After a day or two of exploring our surroundings near The Grand Nikko Bali we decided to drive further out and see more, which is how we actually stumbled upon this extremely well maintained, chic and beautiful area of Nusa Dua that is gated and guarded at all points of entry and the guards even ask you where you are headed sometimes. There are a bunch of tourist spots to check out but mostly it’s a collective effort of all the high-end hotels that reside within this lovely locality called the Nusa Dua BTDC complex – Bali Tourism Development Corporation which is a state owned enterprise. Very impressive, clean and safe. You MUST visit the Waterblow – the few days we were there it was shut to the public because of random wave warnings. But you can explore the area, find your own little nook and get to some rock formations from where you will get a spectacular display of the waterblow or the waves crashing against the rocks. It’s pretty amazing. Don’t forget to wear your shoes though – I went wearing my flip flops and the rocks can get quite jagged so I did sort of lose my balance and leaned against a big cactus with my hands. Was picking out thorns from my palm for the next 10 minutes. #truestory. There are a whole lot of restaurants and even a large shopping complex called ‘Bali Collection’. This place is ideal for families with kids because it’s safe, less crowded and very well maintained – the roads are gorgeous!
I’m wearing a beautiful boho-colorful Hemant & Nandita dress and carrying the luscious handcrafted leather bag by Hidesign from their Atelier Collection that is launching soon!
