Summer Dressing

It’s officially summer in Delhi and thus officially dress season. Sleeveless, short, long, midi, maxi, cut-out, shift – there are a WHOLE LOT to pick and choose from. Stores have their Summer collections in full swing and this pretty little number that I’m wearing here is from the VERO MODA store in Saket. First thing: the print. Love it. It’s not in-your-face slap of floral summery stuff – the addition of stripes to the florals somehow makes it a slightly mature print. Second: I believe this is the very first cut-out dress I have ever worn. Cut-out seemed like something that I wouldn’t normally wear because it give a really young teenage vibe and I’m kinda glad I’m not in my teens anymore. But like all things fashion, my policy is that you should atleast try it once. Just for the fun of it. Verdict: I’d wear it again. The cut-outs are not too big and well balanced with the print on the dress. It’s definitely a fun-time-with-the-girls dress, wear it for a shopping spree, a Sunday brunch perhaps. The print is so nice that you don’t really need to accessorise. I kept it very minimal with a simple yet interesting necklace. What do you think?
