Lad Koh – Koh Samui
Our first day out in Koh Samui, we hit Chaweng beach first. Lunch at Ark Bar followed by a lot of loitering at the Lad Koh viewpoint which comes on the way from Chaweng to Lamai. After that we hit Lamai beach to cool off. Koh Samui is surprisingly not as hot and humid as I imagined it would be in early March (phew!). If you are stationery under the sun yes you will get hot and burnt but if you’re moving on the bike it’s pretty nice. Pleasant in the evenings too.
Shirt dresses are your best bet when travelling to tropical regions. You can easily take them off, put them on, wear them with all buttons open or even tie them around the waist over the bikini – a lot of options. And I usually like going for a size bigger because they tend to be airy and comfy that ways but that’s a personal choice. This maroon Topshop dress on Jabong was perfect for my beach vacation because that maroon goes so damn well against the azure blues! LOVE. Paired it with some pretty Swarovski jewels (ironically from their ‘Sea of Sparkle’ collection).
