Ladurée Soho | NYC
On a particularly sunny day Naina & I were walking around in Soho and just chanced upon Ladurée and we knew we HAD to eat there (we were ofcourse starving too!). Walking is just the best way to explore Manhattan – that and yes a month’s subway pass. I think this was a weekday if I’m not wrong and we went in during lunch time. The outdoor seating of the restaurant was bustling but indoors was very quiet and it was only us seated indoors. Really pretty interiors. Ordered some salad. Gobbled that up. Loved it. Then just because it was Ladurée we tried out the French macarons. I’m not really a fan of macarons so it was like whatever frankly (ladies don’t be aghast – it’s me not you) and then we also ordered a really good looking dessert but that wasn’t quite upto my expectations either (then again, I like my desserts chocolatey and heavy and this was deceptively light I suppose or maybe it’s just French desserts, I’m not quite sure). But loved the interiors, the atmosphere, the coffee and the salad so it was definitely a win! Yay! Miss that month in NYC so so bad! It’s already been a whole fashion season already. Uggh!
We also stopped by and checked out the Anthropologie store nearby. It looked like a much bigger and posher version of Sarojini Nagar for some reason.
