Valentine’s Day Ready

As cheesy as this time of the year gets, it still does feel a bit special. You do want to make that extra effort of spending quality time with your loved ones – and I don’t just mean your lovers or better halves, but also your siblings, parents and close friends – because these are the people who truly deserve your unconditional time, love and attention. So in the flow of it all, I decided to have a cozy Valentine’s picnic to #StartTheLove, made extra special with some Chandon Brut Rosé and a spread of treats.

Just because it’s VDay fever all around, it doesn’t really mean you have to doll yourself up like a shining Christmas tree and be covered in red or sequins from head to toe. Take it easy. You can just as easily dress casually with just a hint of chic and have an amazing time (maybe even better because you can actually breathe and sit how you want in comfy clothes as compared to that tight dress you want to subject yourself to). Just a thought. I went for a super comfy look – a classic white shirt which is actually a men’s shirt and a mustard midi skirt all in cotton – perfect for sunny winter day at the park.

Some sublime sparkling rosé, nutella covered strawberries, chilli-cheese croissants, cold salad and chocolates followed by a cozy sun-soaking session made this day so good and relaxing. I do however cannot miss to mention the eagle that swooped in ever so elegantly into our V Day celebrations, brushed against my shoulder and flew away with 2 of our mini croissants all in a matter of seconds. We didn’t mind though (not that there was much we could have done anyways! lol!) What a fun day this was.
