Sweet Sweet Music

Lately I’ve noticed that work has pretty much overtaken most of my day/ life – WHICH – I frankly don’t mind at all. I’m absolutely in love with my life as a blogger and the rewards I get out of it. But I am working pretty much 24/7 now – it’s constantly on – social media, clicking pictures, editing, attending events, doing shoots, travelling, drafting blog posts, replying to emails, taking phone calls and then some. I never get a day off – 24 hours of having absolutely nothing to do. And sometimes I miss that. It reminds me of the times when I was unemployed where I would spend hours online listening to music, discovering new music and adding new music to my library. I don’t get to do that anymore and that’s no fun because listening to new music was one of my most favorite things in the world. You find that one song that you really like and play it on loop for a week. Music is always on in the background all day – that just doesn’t seem to happen anymore and I feel that it does have an effect on my mood too. Maybe there is a way I can dedicate a day in the month to just doing this – finding new music, listening to music all day and literally re-introduce music in my life. I’d like that. It’s been forever since I’ve added new music in my iPod and I’d really really like to add some, take it with me to the park with some really good headphones and spend the day just listening to it – nothing else.

And while I’m at it, I wouldn’t mind suggestions on what new songs I should check out and listen to. I’m not partial to any genre – literally. Do leave your suggestions in the comments below!
