Beauty Edit – Dec 2015
I am a sucker for all beauty & make-up related things. Everybody knows that. So today I am sharing with you some beauty products that I have been gifted in December and can’t wait to explore in the new year and also some beauty experiences I had in the month of December. If you have tried any of these products I would love to know of your experience too! Please share in the comments section.
First up was a Holiday Gift set by Tatcha – A Japanese Beauty brand. I am currently using and a huge fan of their Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream and am super excited to try out all these new products too! They don’t stock at any Indian stores but do ship to India. You do have to pay customs though.
The Bulgari Le Gemme – Noorah EDP 30 ml. This is a slightly heavy and intense (but my favorite) fragrance from the Le Gemme collection.
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact in ‘Bronze’
I love all things shimmery and bronze just adds to the allure! Hello sunkissed skin!
I also recently visited the ‘Lumiere Dermatology’ clinic by Dr. Kiran Lohia to experience a ‘Power Facial’ – one of her luxury facials that is an all-in-one treatment with no down-time. I visited the clinic in Panchsheel. The procedure took slightly more than an hour and a half since there is a combination of different procedures customized according to the skin issues that need to be dealt with. My biggest issue is acne so Dr. Lohia took it upon herself to wage a personal war against my acne! She even prescribed some topical applications that I can do at home by myself. My facial had a bunch of scientific terms in it which you can explore more on their website. In easier language my face & neck underwent a chemical peel for the acne, a slight anti-aging treatment which was mildly uncomfortable because of the heat (my first experience), a photo-facial that helps with red and brown marks and produces collagen and helps with acne scars followed by a LED light treatment (which was a first for me). And all I had to do was lie down comfy under a blanket while everything was taken care of.
What I actually liked most about my experience was how open, friendly and frank Dr. Lohia was the entire time. Usually doctors are all so serious, not wanting to share information and ideas making you feel like maybe you’re just being taken for a ride (who knows if you even need that procedure). But with Dr. Kiran it was quite the opposite – she even changed the procedures of the Power facial slightly to suit my needs instead of just following what terms have been set on paper. When you have a comfortable level of ease with your dermatologist, you tend to accept the treatment more positively and building a good rapport really does feel like a healthy step. Vibes make a huge difference (atleast to me)
A customized bottle of ‘My Burberry’ EDT with my initials etched on the bottle. Best Christmas gift EVER!
The Clinique 3-Step kit.
Another lovely fragrance that I am fond of using on a daily basis – ‘Modern Muse’ by Estee Lauder.
A new Ayurveda brand on the block – Mantra Herbals.
Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Matte Sculpting Lipstick in 330 Decisive Poppy.
A festive Maybelline pouch with a shimmery nail-polish and their popular Cheeky Glow blush.
Some fun new MAC Cosmetics launches. That lipstick is such a brilliant electric red! Love it.
Hope you guys had fun browsing through the products and got to discover some new ones as well as get reminded of some that you may have already used.
