Playing with Plaid | Sbuys

I don’t really have too much of plaid in my wardrobe but when I find a good piece I go for it. Like this dress I found on SBUYS which is clearly perfect for this weather. It isn’t yet winters in Delhi so you can wear dresses and play a little bit with layering. I don’t really know why but I have associated plaid (especially in red) with goth for some reason. Think black nails, heavy eyes and maybe even black lips. It does have a deeper, more viscous feel about it. But that is not the side I decided to explore for this look. Here I actually tried mixing two independently busy elements – plaid and checks. I did think for a moment that it might look like a mess but somehow keeping the same undercurrent of red pulled the look together for me.

SBUYS has just come out with their Fall collection and they have a huge variety of styles both basics and special pieces. Their price points are extremely competitive and even some of their summery pieces are just really classic and gorgeous. This calf length, laser cut white skirt is so so chic.

I do hope you like my simple but efficient look for this very confusing weather. A checked shirt tied around the waist over this plaid dress. Notice the sexy elements of the slayed neckline in the front and the caged back.
