Malan Breton | StyleFW | Spring Summer 2016

The Malan Breton show was held at the splendid Gotham Hall in New York with Style Fashion Week. In collaboration with the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, Malan presented menswear and womenswear inspired by his recent travels to Taiwan’s Sun Moon Lake. The pieces incorporated traditional Taiwanese dying techniques, embroideries, silks, and fibers merged with modern silhouettes. It was an elaborate setup with live music.

My favorite part of the show was actually the menswear. Loved a lot of the pieces and would wear them too. The element of a hoodie to the blazers was interesting but didn’t completely appeal to me. There was a silk trench coat that I wanted to steal off from the model though!
