Maverick

Remember Tom Cruise, in Top Gun? Maverick? While this post has got nothing to do with him, it is more of a play on the current denim on denim wave that’s going around. The denim on denim trend came back around pretty quick. For good reason too! It looks so good, put together and yet just a little bit rough – just like Maverick. #justkidding

I remember doing an outfit with denim on denim in August around 3 years back HERE. And I cannot believe how far I’ve come, how far this blog has come – right from the quality of my pictures, to my poses, to the type of text I used to write – it has all changed a lot, for the better I think. And I’m so happy I continued to do this. I love it!

Back to my outfit, The new collection at VERO MODA has a lot of new age pieces, edgy and almost reminding you of the normcore craze a while back. I picked out this denim on denim look which has an element of rebel as well as a certain sharpness to it at the same time. A rebellious-chic if you may – ‘Maverick’. I have down-played the fringes and kept them a bit hidden with the denim dress that I have actually worn as an outer-layer. And those jeans are so smart!
