Philips Bodygroomers Launch with Arjun Kapoor
I was recently invited to the launch of an exciting new product by Philips India – Their range of Bodygroomers with Arjun Kapoor as their brand ambassador. The launch happened at The Oberoi Hotel, New Delhi.
The Philips Bodygroom Series 1000 has been specifically designed to help Indian men manage their body-hair, which, according to a recent survey conducted by Philips, is unwanted by a huge percentage of women in India. Excessive body-hair on men certainly puts off a lot of women out there and men themselves are now open to experimenting with their looks and grooming themselves.
While preferences of body-hair will always be a very personal choice, I can safely say that there are no women I know who like excessive hair growing in places they shouldn’t be – AND I mean shoulders by that people…well mostly. The Bodygroom Series 1000 is available in 3 variants and range from ₹ 1,295/- to ₹ 1,495/- Towards the end of the post you will also find some close up pics of the Philips Bodygroom BG1024 which is priced at ₹ 1,395/- to get a better idea about the device.
At the launch, I asked Arjun Kapoor a few questions and his take on the Bodygroom Series by Philips as well. Here is how it went:
ME: How has your experience been with the Philips Bodygroomer?
Arjun Kapoor (AK): Great! It’s a one-point product with lots of advantages. Also, the multi-angle ability of the head attachment is extremely useful. Most other trimmeres have their attachments fixed in one direction. I also love the fact that I can easily carry it when I’m travelling because it’s so compact.
ME: The ONE feature of the Bodygroomer that you like the most.
AK: You can use it in the shower.
ME: Since when have you been body-grooming.
AK: Since I started dealing with body-hair and realized it was a problem with the ladies.
ME: Would you choose to have your body groomed for a) A beach vacation or b) A third date with someone.
(an awkward pause)
AK: A beach vacation. I can’t seem to remember the last time I went on a date anyways.
That’s me ALWAYS trying to take a selfie.
Here are some shots I have taken of the Philips Bodygroomer BG1024 to give you a closer look at the device and further details about it:
Back of the box
Once you open the box
The device is 100% waterproof and you can clean it by simply rinsing it under the water. The entire body has a non-slip grip and it comes with a nifty shower-cord too.
The regular trimming attachment with the skin protector. This allows you to comfortably trim hair as close as 0.5mm without directly exposing your skin to the blades and also trim hair in both directions.
The other attachment that gives you a longer 3mm trim.
Some more pics from the launch and also a bit of my outfit.

It’s interesting how this product is offered differently in India to me! I don’t know if marketing for men to shave for women so explicitly would work in America. Food for thought.
Haahah probably not! But this is more for body hair rather than facial hair. I <3 beards by the way!
Nice post
Nice. Flashback 1900s where such things were pretty unheard of, specially for men. It’s amazing how things have advanced in the recent years.
Yup thats true!
