Days Like These
I am so grateful that I can do exactly what I want professionally. I am grateful for the creative independence that I have and the fact that I don’t have to report or answer to a boss. Granted I didn’t get into blogging with complete confidence, I had a side job/business, but the switch to full-time blogging was the best professional decision I have made so far in my life! I decide what I want to work on, who I want to work with, my work hours (which are not the best organized yet) and what I want to do with my hours & days.
I do admit to spending a lot of time surfing online but most of my time is ofcourse spent on building content for my blog, sharing it socially, replying to emails, etc. But my favorite days are days when I don’t have to go out during the day – dealing with the traffic and the shady men on Delhi streets. Ideal days are those where I spend a few hours online, get a good workout and ofcourse get good food – all at home! (Yes I quit the gym)
And a big factor in getting the good food at home is Foodpanda. Sure there are a lot of local restaurants that leave their pamphlets/menus in the newspaper but it really doesn’t have to be that local. When I first discovered Foodpanda, I realised that there are a LOT more restaurants that home-deliver and the cuisine options are plentiful! So whenever I am bothered by the question of ‘What do I eat?’ I just head on to Foodpanda, click on a cuisine I’m in the mood for and I am shown all the possible options that are available in my vicinity for home-delivery. Quick & simple!
In one instance I am obsessing over how to improve my blog and in the next I am ordering a quick lunch using Foodpanda! The internet truly is wonderful!’Days like these’ are the best kind.
I also CANNOT get enough of my Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro Laptop/Tablet. Ofcourse I love using it as a tablet the most! But being so versatile, it is literally an essential now – I have edited endless photographs, pinned countless pics on pinterest and scheduled hundreds of tweets on it already. On my work table, I use it as a laptop and when I’m out and about, tablet is the best way to go. The possibilities are endless! I feel absolutely great about being a part of their YOUinspired campaign where I am one of the 250 contributors worldwide! #YOUinspired
Also got my hands on this sweet sweet new wrist-watch by Daniel Wellington. It is named ‘Classic Southampton Lady’ and you can shop this or any other watch on their website for a 15% discount using the code –> RedhuDW
Clearly on days like these I wear super casual & comfy clothes – shorts & a peppy floral tee!
