Weekend Getaway | Anya Gurgaon
It was sublime timing that I got the opportunity to experience a weekend at Anya Hotels & Resorts, Gurgaon right after I had returned from my super fun but tiring 12 day long Himalayan road trip. And who doesn’t love weekend getaways. You don’t really have to leave the city but its a mini-vacation in itself. Spa + Pool + Room Service + Great food & greater hospitality.
Anya Hotels is located at the prime Golf Course Road in Gurgaon and is just a 23 minute drive from the International Airport. The most unique thing about Anya is the fact that each room and suite has a different size, style & shape. We were in room 115 which has pink accents and a great view of the pool. A shot of what our room looked like:
The view from our room:
But the biggest cherry on top of the cake is their spa. The Amaltas Spa by L’Occitane is the only one of its kind in all of Delhi, NCR and it is absolutely splendid. I went in for a 60 minute deep tissue massage and came out a week-of-yoga-sessions younger. Vishaka, my masseuse was so petite but she had surprisingly strong arms and magic in her hands.
Some yummy lemon honey tea before getting the massage.
The couples spa room where we got our deep tissue massages.
Post spa bliss:
Anya is set to have a total of 2 restaraunts of which one has officially been launched – Naya. Naya is also accompanied by the Naya Beer Garden which has a fun outdoor setting and a set menu of mostly finger food along with the best beer that you can pair it with. Its all in the menu and you don’t need to be a beer expert. You just need to be open to experimenting. Naya has a clear cut menu, not too extensive and not too limited but you can be rest assured that anything you order from it, will have the best attention put into it.
Some of the dishes that I tried out. The tenderloin & bacon burger.
Morning breakfast
Clockwise from left – Nalli Korma, Gooey brownie, Laksa soup. If there is ONE dish that you must try at Naya, hands down it has to be the Nalli Korma. It would be unjust to try and explain the goodness of this dish in words. And the curry. My God the curry is what salivating dreams are made of. I am salivating as I I’m typing this out.
Apple crumble with Anise gelato.
Exploring the hotel premises.
The poolside and some pool time in my current favourite tropical bikini
The washrooms have my favourite Kama Ayurveda toiletries!
It really was a lovely and relaxing weekend getaway at Anya Hotels & Resorts, Gurgaon and I can’t wait to check in again very soon! A huge thank you to the entire team for their warm hospitality.
