Of Midi Dresses | Femella
Another website I recently stumbled upon for my shopping needs regarding fashion is Femella. Supported with a simple, good looking and user-friendly layout, Femella offers classic pieces for your wardrobe at really good prices. Ranging from mostly solid color staples which are great for work-wear to casual dresses and even some pretty prints, I couldn’t help but try out a dress for myself.
The particular dress that I decided to go for is a style which is quite different from what I’d normally wear. For starters its a midi-length dress which happens to be my first. Also, this dress has an empire waistline which can be a tricky silhouette. The trick with empire waistlines is mainly the fabric. If the fabric used is even the slightest bit bulky, it can make you look bloated or just inappropriately large waisted. However, in this particular dress, the fabric that has been used is surprisingly light and falls flat on the body, making it quite pleasant to wear for casual daywear.
The neckline has a hint of sexy with a deep connected v on the black upper-body of the dress. This happens to be a knit material which takes the shape of the upper body giving it a well-fitted look.
My favourite part of this dress happens to be the kaleidoscopic-geometric triangle print that cheers up the entire look. Throw on a black blazer and you can wear it to work, put on a statement long necklace and some high heels and you can wear it for an evening out or keep it on a minimal basic with your everyday-shoes and no accessories at all and you can spend days in this dress.
For my day-look I have kept makeup to a basic of black eyeliner and pink lips. Nothing too fancy and a nail paint that pops with the geometric print of the dress. Its a super comfortable dress and very airy might I add. You can hop, skip and jump or even run in this number.
Two more dresses that I absolutely adore that are currently available on Femella are:
1) The High-Lo Shirt Maxi Dress in a pop of blue | ₹ 1,350/-
2) The black and peach color-block shift dress | ₹ 890/-
I have had my eye on them for quite a while. What do you think?
Formed in 2009, Femella also retails at myntra, koovs, jabong & fashionara.
How do you like this Femella midi-dress? How would you style it and what would you wear it with? I would love to know!

India is really growing in terms of fashion as well. I recently bought this dress from http://www.meiro.co.in – an Indian website wherein the styles are actually designed here in New York City.
Very good styling. And the prices are very good. But one thing I didnt exactly like was that they asked me to pay for shipping as this was international order for them, however they are giving free shipping in India, cash on delivery and what not. I didn’t mind paying the extra cost the design and quality is so much better than other KNOWN brands !
