La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Pro-Recovery Skincare

This tube is a huge saviour in little quantities. The Cicaplast Pro-Recovery Skincare is an epidermal repair accelerator that helps with the reconstruction of irritated, chapped epidermises(skin) after minor dermatological procedures. And to say that it does so with beautiful ease, would be an understatement.

Since I have quite a stubborn acne problem on my facial skin, I regularly do Salicylic Acid peels at home to keep my acne in check and reduce occurrences of breakouts as far as possible. I usually keep the peel on for about 2-3 minutes and once I’m done with it my skin naturally does become dry and irritated (it is acid after-all). Now I have tried a lot of ‘post-peel’ moisturizers to minimize the damage and irritation caused by the peels and calm the skin down. The La Roche-Posay Cicaplast is a very recent purchase and I am so happy with it. This is what I now use on my skin after my peels and even when it just seems too dry or harshed-up because of the drying products I use for my acne.

With an opaque appearance it almost feel like an ointment. You need very little and it spreads easily because when it comes in contact with my skin, the texture thins down a bit. You don’t need to rub this in too much. I apply the Cicaplast once my moisturizer has settled in and been absorbed. For best results I apply it for the night.

Before I used the Cicaplast my skin used to get back to its normal self in about 5-6 days post the Salicyclic Peel. Now it feels 80% better the next day itself. And that kind of recovery is HUGE for me!!! The skin is much softer, doesn’t feel dry, chapped and flaky and just seems calm and happy. The skin does flake because that has to happen after a peel but its not as violent as it used to be.

Another great thing about the Cicaplast is its insulating texture which is enriched with anti-bacterial agents to protect the skin. You can even use it on cuts and burns for faster healing. It is a soothing product that also reduces itching in my case.

Its a tiny tube of 15ml but it will easily last you about 2-3 months because you need very little and it spreads easily. I purchased this for ₹ 390/- from VioletBag.com and received it in 2 days.
