~ Summer Beauty Essentials ~

It has been a while since I did a beauty related post so I decided to share my current favourites with you. These are the products that I am currently using quite heavily, almost on a daily basis. Summer staples that I can’t do without, how I use them and how they feel on my skin.

Kama Ayurveda
Both the hand and foot cream are super luscious and luxurious which is why I only use them at night. A bit heavy for the day. But they are like magic. You wake up with super soft skin in the morning. I personally prefer the fragrance of the foot cream over the hand cream because the hand cream has a bit of cardamom in it which I’m not very fond of but that’s a personal preference. I do love how they both leave my skin. Very high on my travel essential list if I’m packing heavy.
Lavender Water
This is what I carry in my big bag whenever I step out of the house. I spray it on my face and neck usually when it gets really hot. I also spray it after I have applied my foundation, concealer and blush if my face is feeling a bit dry or cakey. t seems to fix that issue for me. A very soothing fragrance, not too heavy and I usually let the water dry up naturally on the skin for a bit of the fragrance to linger on.

Bobbi Brown Limited Edition Red Lip Color
I have had this lipstick on me for quite a while now. Initially when I had received it the color seemd a bit too bright for my taste so the poor thing kept lying unused. When I finally decided “what the heck lets give it a shot” I kinda fell in love with it. Yes, it is bright but then I have always loved bright lip colors, I had just not worn one in a while I suppose. This one is your classic red lippy which will look chic and stunning with pretty much anything you wear.
Tip: If you don’t want it as bright as it looks, don’t put foundation on your lips to get its true color, it automatically takes on a slightly dull tone because of the natural skin tone.
I now have this lipper in my bag everywhere I go just incase I need to glam up in a minute.

Chanel Blush

Another classic pink blush for that lovely flush on your cheeks. I have always been drawn to pink blushes rather than peach ones for some reason, and this one fits the bill perfectly. No fuss, just plain pink loveliness. Sometimes all you really need is foundation, blush and mascara and this Chanel blush will stand good in all makeup situations. I apply my blush after my foundation since I like a bit more color to my cheeks without which I tend to look vampirish pale.

MAC Mascara
There is not much to a black mascara really. You pick a brush you prefer on your lashes and always try it before purchase. The good thing about this mascara is that it has two different brushes. One for a light day-time touch to the lashes and one for a heavy more demure look to really get big lashes. Love it!
