Heineken – #ShareTheSofa

Could you really say no to a crate of Heineken Beer (on-the-house) and a sofa you get to share with your friends over a UEFA Champions League semi-final match? I could never. On 23rd April, 2014 we got a chance to be a part of the worldwide #ShareTheSofa campaign where we watched the semi-final live and drank chilled Heineken right in my living room. The Heineken team came in during the day to setup a Heineken Sofa, a table and more bar accessories and left a crate of Heineken Beer and lots of ice so that it was chilled and ready for the evening.

I was joined by Naina, Prateeq & Bharat & we all shared the sofa for the beery football fun evening. The semi-final between Real Madrid & Bayern München even witnessed a goal which was a relief since the previous match had been a 0-0 bust. Here are some pics we managed to capture during our #ShareTheSofa evening. What a fun night!

As much as I like going out and drinking, drinking at home on a casual evening with your friends and no pressure of booking a cab back home, etc has its own charm. Bonus when the alcohol is on the house and a football match in front of you. Thank you Heineken of giving us such a kick-ass evening. The sofa was the highlight for me. It had red stars on it! Man I wish I get to do this again sometime. Lets not even get to the next morning however.
