L’Occitane Immortelle Brightening Instant Exfoliator via { Nykaa.com }
Off late I had be hearing rave reviews about the ‘Immortelle’ range at L’Occitane and really wanted to try out their exfoliator because it had been quite a while since I last owned my own skin exfoliator product. I usually just go in for a microdermabrasion but lately haven’t been able to take out the time. The only option left is to do it at home with some good heavy duty products.
L’Occitane’s Immortelle Brightening skin care line provides beauty benefits from the Mediterranean “flowers of light,” Immortelle and Bellis Perennis (Daisy).Immortelle is a flower with exceptional longevity: it never fades, even after it has been picked. Its essential oil is rich in active molecules with unique anti-aging results. Bellis perennis, better known as the daisy, yields a brightening extract that helps maintain an even skin tone.
My search led me to www.nykaa.com which is quite a versatile website carrying a huge range of beauty and wellness products. They stock some other brands that I really like as well – Vichy, Avene, Dermalogica, H2O+, NYX and lots more.
I managed to find exactly what I was looking for – The L’Occitane Immortelle Brightening Instant Exfoliator. I immediately placed the order, shipping was free and I got my exfoliator the second day after. Quick, easy and no fuss. I received my product in a safe packaging by nykaa wrapped in some bubble wrap.
Appearance:
It comes in a 75ml Squeeze tube which means you can carry it on you during flights. Yay! And costs ₹ 2,500/- Since not too much is required at one time, the bottle should easily last you 2 months or even more. It has a lovely natural-herby fragrance which reminds you of plants. This is a particularly refreshing aspect since most products have a very unnatural fragrance. That’s how big the 75ml squeeze tube is.
Texture:
When you initially squeeze the semi-solid exfoliator onto your face and start to massage it with your fingers it seems to be quite hard in texture and you feel like you might need more. But wait it out for a few seconds and it automatically releases some gel as you keep massaging it to make it the circular motions easier. You need about a pea size squeeze for each of your cheeks, forehead and chin. Your skin must not be wet but patted dry. After massaging the skin for about 5 minutes you can start rinsing it off while massaging. The moment you add water on your face, the exfoliator turns into a milky solution. Quite fascinating.
Result:
Once all of it has been rinsed off completely you immediately notice a change. It had been almost 20 days since my last microdermabrasion and I was due for another one. Which is why, when I used the exfoliator, I could feel a huge difference since my skin was literally begging to be exfoliated. I could say that the skin was almost as smooth as it usually gets after a microdermabrasion and somehow did appear to be brighter. My moisturizer glided on so much more easily and it really did feel like a dead top-layer had been removed and my skin could breathe. Loved the results!
Rating: 7.5/10
I will definitely be trying some more products from this range especially The L’Occitane Immortelle Precious Youth Serum.
