{ Clinique } – All About Eyes Rich
Its no secret that I am quite a Cinique loyalist. The Clinique foundations have been my all time favourite and lately I’ve become quite fond of their Chubby Sticks as well. So I’m always looking with a keen eye for Clinique products that will suit me well. I am 26 years old and while I haven’t yet started using any anti-aging products (I’ve heard from some people that I should!), I have seen my skin change quite a bit over the past couple of years. Its not as ‘raging hormonal’ as it used to be. I still do have a slight acne rosacea problem but its much calmer now. I had recently noticed that the skin around my eyes was keeping a bit more dry than it used to. That’s not a fun feeling at all because it leads to itchiness and an overall exhausted/un-fresh look. I immediately started looking out for eye creams where the main purpose is hydration.
The 3 eye-creams that I tried were Clarins, Clinique & Estée Lauder at Sephora, Delhi. Needless to say, I naturally leaned towards Clinique. I really loved the texture of Estée Lauder as well but I did not want to start using such a powerful cream right at the beginning.
Appearance:
It comes in a lovely creamy hue in a travel-easy 15ml bottle for about ₹ 2000/- which will easily last you 2 months or more. The cream has a barely-there fragrance.
Texture:
The Clinique All About Eyes comes in its original form and a ‘Rich’ form. The Rich is essentially a cream and the other one a lotion for those looking for lighter application. I bought the All About Eyes Rich since I was mainly looking for maximum hydration. The texture is extremely luxurious and rich. You need very little and it glides on easily.
Results:
I am very happy with the hydration that this product has provided to the skin around my eyes. I use it twice a day. First thing in the morning skin routine and then again at night before going to bed. I apply this over my moisturizer. My eyes stay happy hydrated throughout the day. The best part about this product is that its ophthalmologist tested so you can apply it very close to your eyes and even your eyelids and corners. Its also quite effective in de-puffing the eye area especially in the mornings. However this product didn’t do much for my dark circles, but that’s mostly hereditary for me so there’s probably no product that will.
