{ Clinique } – Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion +

Clinique will be launching a new & updated version of its dramatically different moisturizer in India soon. While I am a loyal devotee of Clinique foundations, they just suit me so well, I have infact never used the Clinique moisturizers before this. Which is why I won’t really be comparing the older and newer versions but rather just sharing my views about the newly launched one.

The Dramaticaly Different Moisturizing Lotion claims to strengthens skin’s own moisture barrier by 54% and give all day hydration.
This lotion is meant for Dry to Dry – Combination skin. I have a combination skin & here is my experience with it.

Appearance – For starters the lotion comes in its signature shade of yellow. Its a mellow yellow, nothing too strong so its not too alarming. Just that a particular color always requires particular colorant chemicals.

Texture – The texture is very very smooth and quite ‘liquidy’ which makes it very easy to apply on the face and neck. Spreads easily on the skin surface. If you are in an air – conditioned environment then the lotion gets absorbed by the skin like a dream. Quick and easy. However if you are in a non air – conditioned room, with the current humid state in Delhi, it might take a while for it to get absorbed into the skin. Either ways, when it does get absorbed, it feels quite luxurious. Leaves the skin very supple.

Fragrance – I don’t seem to agree entirely with the ‘Fragrance Free’ tag of the product. It has a mild, somewhat medicinal/chemical fragrance to it which disappears on application.

Results – Loved the texture, not heavy at all and my skin seems quite happy. A well moisturized skin is always a happy one! You will see results only after you have used it for a few days and it keeps getting better. Also the claim of ‘all day hydration’ really does hold its ground.
