Extremely adorable, simple yet brilliantly thought of silver (platinum plated) rings by Innopark. Perfect for a Christmas present or even otherwise to give it to your loved ones. Not too painfully cute and neither too boring. Just an ideal amount of serene and ‘awww’.
Available at the Designboom shop.

Grandeur has a new address at the Grand Palais in Paris when Karl Lagerfeld showed Chanel’s pre-fall luxury show and named it ‘Paris – Bombay’ yesterday Dec 06. Lagerfeld was able to bring the Indian inspiration to a new royal peak with the gorgeous fabrics, accessories and even the make-up. Its also completely ironical I suppose that this collection has come out during the vastly heavy India Wedding Season for this year.

Here is a pick of my favourite looks from the show including bags, make-up and even some head-gear also known as ‘tikka’ in India. Its like a brimming glass of champagne…theres no more that you can add, but in your head you have already decided that you would like some more.

Gorgeous royal colors. Who knew silver could go that brilliantly with blue!

An asymmetric hemline kurta-dress accompanied with a churidar!

Gold and Silver. India’s darlings.

A cocktail dress and Indian wear at the same time. Genius!

Something very royal about these boots

Almost an offshoot of an ‘Anarkali’ and a ‘Dupatta’

Gosh I would love to introduce a little androgyny in the next outfit I wear to an Indian wedding!

Inspired from Indian mirror-work im guessing.

Pink and gold! India’s favourite colors for weddings.

So modern and traditional-chic at the same time!

Oh my God that ‘Tikka’ and Oh my God that make-up. If you look closely the ‘Tikka’ or the headgear actually has the Chanel logo on it!

The collection, shown on Tuesday, will hit Chanel boutiques worldwide starting May 2012.

This photograph almost completely symbolizes what is needed when you are at Fashion Week. Solid base colored clothes – Black and White is of course the favourite coordination, along with some bright spunky colored shoes to stand out but yet be an integral part of your outfit, a drink, coz lets face it, you could always use one and a Blackberry, you know, for everything else! Coupled with gossip, smoke-breaks, a legal amount of an attitude and hey, you are your own personal diva at the fashion week. Done!

The only thing you could probably add here would be accessories and some amount of make up, coz all those five days of non-stop crazy-work-fun sure did give me some dark circles!

Yup! That’s exactly the kind of thing you need when the airconditioning isn’t as efficient as it should be. We could all benefit from such fans. And that amazing with a huge ‘zing’ green on it! Pretty smile too! Red lips and a green hand-fan.

Designer Nida Mahmood with her quirky flower-in-her-head-i-dont-care-what-you-think-of-it look. With the orange sunglasses and that peplum style top. Atleast shes got her own sense of style and shes not afraid to own it. I love that about her!

Designer Kawaljit Singh. Im liking all the drapey layering that hes done with his outfit. And if im not wrong there are two stoles that he has taken over his babypink tee. Great color coordination. Pink, dusty grey, black and those cute stripey pyjamas. It seems complicated but still a whole part in itself.

Yes a bow-tie completely changes your look and no for petes sake it does’nt mean tha you are gay! You just have to be confident enough to be able to carry the look. I personally love it when a man can carry off a bow-tie. And this guy is definitely doing something right. With the colors, the folding of his trouser hemline, those solid turquoise shoes, that deep-blue bag of an ocean and even the adorable hand gesture. Total Yay and dont matter if ure gay…Whoa I can rhyme!

Wow there is so much more fabulous stuff. I just dont want it to end. Somehow it is so very satisfying when you get to see so many people well dressed at the same time and at the same place. Its almost like a high!

A model keeping it simple in pastel yellow and drawstring trousers and ofcourse some wine.

Quite a classy polka-dotted mock wrap jumpsuit. There are many good elements to this outfit. Starting from the wrap, to the pallazo style legs and the god-sent obi belt which will make anybody seem slimmer. All in all a great outfit! A better choice of a handbag would have nailed it! Perhaps a black shiny clutch or a chain sling.

Full points for a laidback chic style. And who does’nt love a combination of turquoise and stone white?!

Isnt it enough that its Rahul Dev? Does it really matter what he is wearing?! Ok so maybe it actually does. And its not bad at all. A graphic tee relating to keeping the environment clean, paired with a neutral brown jacket, trousers and loafers. No one can complain. I know Ashish Soni is secretly sighing next to him too, as was I.

A well put together look. Classic. Nothing out of the ordinary but yet pleasant and clean.

Green lace dress on a skin colored base, slim tan belt, a chunky gold cuff, heels and an oversized clutch to go with the neutral tan of the belt. No-nonsense, sharp look, right there where its meant to be. And sap green happens to be a personal favourite!

Hippie-chic! Great color coordination! Turq blue pleated trousers with a slouchy cream top having a safety-pin print, an orange brown sling bag, embellised thong sandals and gypsy just-out-of-bed hair. Easy yet polished!

Nida Mahmood’s press kit – ‘The Great Indian Bohemian Tamasha Maha Mela’ and she did stick to her theme. A feel good show!
