The recent launch of Levi’s Curve ID held at The Taj Mansingh in Delhi was a fabulous affair what with all the pretty models, the fantastic Jacqueline Fernandez, Chitrangada Singh, Ileane D’Cruz and most importantly, the gorgeous clothes and denims of Levi’s that they all were wearing! There was high anticipation, a rush towards the start, complete awe during the processions and an aftertaste of pure excitement.

The art direction and setting done by Himanshu was aptly in tune with the Levi’s Curve ID campaign ‘Believe’ featuring Lykke Li, Violet and Miss Nine. It was quirky yet impeccable….just like his tresses!

Check out these lovely table settings. Using jeans as table napkins and even substituting it for paper in a typewriter! Very cool!

And thats Himanshu with his lovely hair:

The fashion show started with the introduction of the 3 different fits which will be available according to ones shape and the difference between the waist and the hip, namely..
Slight – designed to compliment straight figures
Demi – designed to fit even proportions (dats the fit which was determined for me!)
Bold – to honor genuine curves

Also showcased was their latest collection ranging from denim skirts to shorts to jeans in various finishes and washes as well as funky printed tees and tops. Checks did stand out as a major trend in the shirt dresses.

A b/w checked shirt-dress. This one was my personal favourite among the tops. Extremely versatile, beautifully comfortable im sure(being a shirt-dress). This can be dressed up with fabulous heels as shown or even dressed down with trousers for a more formal look. And I dont even need to begin to mention….its black and white! You cant go wrong with dat!
Digging the black booties shes wearing as well.

These denims really got me going as well. For starters I couldnt really figure out if they were jeans or leggings, which happens to be the awesome part about them I suppose. A lovely sheen finish and stretchable to decieve themselves into looking like leggings. Loving the idea!

All three of the ladies did a fantastic job of being the showstoppers. They literally stopped every activity and conversation at the venue!

Here they are answering some questions by Mr. Shumone Chatterjee, Vice President, Marketing for Levi’s.
They even gave themselves imaginary crowns after it was over!

Jacqueline wore Slight Curve Levi’s jeans and was at her chirpiest best:

Chitrangada Singh wore the Demi Curve and looked quite demure. Thats what I fit into too!

And finally Ileana wore the absolutely stunning Bold Curve to show off her own gorgeous curves. Deeeeelicious!

I couldnt help myself, the hopeless fashion vulture that I am, so I played a little game involving the celebrities. I even have awards for them! These things really start to get my juices running…

Best Jeans Category:
So im gonna start with the best jeans category, the event being that of Levi’s and all that, I’l give them that well deserved credit!

Here is Chitrangada wearing an extremely sexy, edgy and fashion-forward Levi’s Curve ID jeans. The endless seams and panels and metallic zippers give it a very grunge yet classy feel which I must say has been styled very appropriately with the black eyes, the uneven checked cape and a black inner beneath it. All very in-place!

And here is Ileana in her gorgeous Bold Curve Jeans. The very interesting part of thse jeans was the color gradation that has been incorporated in their wash. Quite frankly this is the first time im seeing this in jeans and to my pleasant surprise….it seems to look quite nice, and ofcourse unique. Also she has very smartly played the color red very well with the color gradient in her jeans. The red in her killer pointed heels makes the gradient stand out even more. I like it very much!

Now for the winner….As much as I was intrigued by the color gradation in Ileana’s jeans, the winner has got to be Chitrangada’s jeans hand down. Love the way the panels and seams have been played with to create a confusing yet harmonious pattern!

Best Accessories Category:
Which celebrity did the best with their accessories? There is a clear winner here but I will still show you the worthy opponent so that you know my judgement is fair…

Take a look at her cute belt. The gold of the belt looks very clear cut and fabulous against the blue of the denim:

Phew! Quite a load I agree but it all has been coordinated very well to go with each other. Now I wonder whether Ileana did this by herself or had the help of a stylist?!?

This cuff worn by Chitrangada also caught my eye! Again very rocker chic…completely complimenting the look that she was styled for, grungy and hip:

I dont really think I need to explain to you why Ileana has won this category now!

Best Make-up and Hair Category:
Two strong contenders, but only one can win.
Here is Jacqueline with her fabulous smoky eyes and very trendy and hip pony style braid.

And heres Chitrangada with her lovely black tresses and edgy bangs and her dark and demure makeup:

The winner?…….The lovely Jacqueline. I think the braid gave her that extra winning push although the bangs did pose a strong threat. The smoky eyes were also impeccable!

Now I know I have made all three ladies win in one category or the other. But its only fair. They were all so lovely, fabulous and even patient!

Other sightings:
Jacquelines lifesavers according to her….her Tods heels. I did happen to like them the best out of the other three as well, no partiality.

The moment I spotted Marc Robinson at the venue I knew the show was gonna be a blast. Here he is making some final decisions just towards the beginning of the show:

Marc gave some serious accessory competition as well. Check out the bling in his funky ear-stud!

It is being done by Tusharika Rao who is the Business Head for Levi’s women and also happens to be my super-duper senior from NIFT(National Institute of Fashion Technology) on Naina Redhu who was the official photoblogger for the event! The Levi’s Curve ID is gonna change the way all women look at shopping for jeans. I am pretty sure its gonna become a wardrobe essential for all fashion concious women.
